Making Ziaozi

Making Jiaozi

We are visiting friends and they will feed us for lunch. Here we help making Jiaozi (Gee-ow-za), a dumpling like delight. It has a rolled flour cover and a filling that is most often cabbage, pork, onions, garlic, and ginger. It is boiled in water and served with vinegar, soy sauce, and hot chili peppers. It is available in hundreds of roadside and portable shops. We often stop somewhere at a jiaozi shop for lunch when we are out sightseeing.
