14. Lotus (Lavender Lady)

This hardy lotus is a perennial plant and will go dormant in the winter, and will winter over in zone 4 and above if planted where the roots wont freeze. The lotus prefer temperatures between 85-95 degrees and they like humidity, however, they will grow in hot and dry conditions, due to the way the leaves stand high above the water the wind makes the leaves turn brown and curl around the edges.
