23. Drainage Ditch on One Circle Road

The City of Chengdu has embarked on a project to upgrade One Circle Road. This road circles the city and is about 8 miles long. At the same time they are Installing a drainage line along the road. The ditch is being dug by human power and all at the same time. The concrete pipe will be laid in the ditch after it is dug. The "ladders" are for the men to climb out with the soil. When I had to go to the Hospital after my penicillin attack, the ambulance (old Russian car) had to get across this ditch. It took a while.
