My wife and I have gone to a number of Chinese Opera shows as well and singing, dance and other cultural shows. It is very different than what you may have been exposed to and may surprise you. Try to get something than explains what you are going to see. English descriptions of most Chinese Operas are available just as operas descriptions in the USA are available. You will better understand what is happening and how the Chinese opera differ from American operas.
