24. Yangpu Bridge

This is the Yangpu Bridge over the Huangpu River in Shanghai. The Haungpu River is 68 miles in length, rising from Dianshan Lake southwest of Shanghai. The river is subject to silting from the Yangzi and requires constant dredging to keep the channels clear. China has been constructing many new freeways especially in the cities. Elevated freeways are being built in the major cities. Elevated pedestrian overpasses are built to allow people to cross the street without obstructing auto and truck traffic.
