Transportation in China in 1988 Tractor Load of Bricks - 16 This small tractor is delivering a load of bricks. You can see many of these small tractors on the road delivering sand, gravel, rocks, lime, soil, and many other goods. Often the driver is accompanied by his wife, who as a team, load, deliver, and unload trailers of brick for the entire day. These vehicles are not allowed on the highway and are seldom seen in the fields. On my way to Kemimg school to teach, each day I see about 30-40 loads like this a day. Bricks sell for about 1.3 cents US. ⇦ Back to Page 15 On to Page 17 ⇨Hi-Res Pic (157K) Return to 1988 Transportation Page 2 |
