You see a few of these odd three-wheel vehicles around in the smaller non-urban cities. Most seem to be hand made and rarely do you see duplicate vehicles. They seem to fit the bill for some situational needs where inclement weather is more prevalent. The significant differences in road user behavior, level of motorization, traffic enforcement practice, roadside design criteria, and economic development stage make the characteristics of traffic crashes in China somewhat different from those in developed countries.
