Yearly Weather for Hechi, Guangxi, China Hechi is located in northwestern Guangxi province on the southern end of the Yunnan-Guizhou Highlands. The area is 35,500 sq km. The northwestern part of Hechi is the highest elevation with the city slowly sloping down to the southeast. Hechi is very mountainous with ranges including in the north the Jiuwangda Mountains, in the northwest the Phoenix Mountains, in the east the Fengling Mountains, in the west, the Duyang Mountains, and in the southwest the Green Dragon Mountains. The tallest mountain is "Nameless Peak" with an elevation of 1693 m. Hechi has a monsoon-influenced humid subtropical climate with short, mild winters, and long, hot, humid summers. Though conditions in winter are still damp, rainfall is actually low and much of the year's rainfall occurs from May to August. January, the coolest month, averages 10.9 ºC (51.6 ºF), while July, the hottest month, averages 28.1 ºC (82.6 ºF); the annual average is 20.5 ºC (68.9 ºF). Annual sunlight is 1450 to 1600 hours.
