Jingmi Private Middle School 2004
4. Jingmi School Student Body Bernice and I spoke for a while why English has become so important for Chinese students. Business throughout the world is transacted in English. All airlines wherever they are in the world must contact the airport towers in English. Virtually all countries require the learning of English in their schools. I asked Mr. Yang over the microphone how many poor students he has and he replied on the loudspeakers a resounding "none." I stressed the importance of learning and how it contributed to their success. This picture shows the left side of the 1,000-seated students. We asked if any students had questions for us. A number did and we answered them. Everyone had a good time and Mr. Yang said he appreciated our speech. ⇦ Back to Page 3 On to Page 5 ⇨Return to 2004 Jingmi School - Page 1 |
