3. Bernice Rides Her Bike to Town

Generally each day Bernice and I ride our bikes to town to just see what we can see. It is 1984 and most of the traffic is still on foot and bicycle as you can see at this busy intersection. This is the intersection of Renmen Nan Lu and Yi Wan Lu. Renmen is "People's", nan is ""South", lu is "Road", yi is "One", wan is "Circle". So that is People's Road South and One Circle Road. You need to learn some Chinese in order to find your way around town. All signs are in Chinese. There is a traffic cop at each intersection. Chinese do not obey any traffic rules unless a policeman is present. One asked me in the US why I stopped at a stop sign when no policeman was present.
