48. Oxen and a Car

Here is an interesting contrast with a car and oxen sharing the same road. You can see some amazing sights in China from an American perspective. Farmers will bring a milk cow into the city and it you want milk they will milk the cow for whatever amount you want to buy. Why do they do it that way? Well the milk would sour in the heat and they had no refrigeration in those days of 1984. This ox would be used as a beast of burden to pull a cart. Later in 1994 such animals would not be allowed on streets to slow down the vehicle traffic.
