PLA Beds

Keming Private Foreign Language School

8. People's Liberation Army Barracks

On the Keming School outing to the Yellow River they stopped at a PLA (People's Liberation Army) barracks to visit the soldiers. They brought a gift to give to the PLA. It was a beautiful picture for the soldiers to hang in their recreation room. The soldiers and the officers were very nice to the students. Paul could not resist running his finger on the sill above the door and checking the heavy dust collected there. He had to show the Captain the result. The Captain just groaned. Note how square the folded blankets are on each bed.
