20. PLA Monument

On the Keming School outing to the Yellow River they stopped at the Monument to the Revolutionary Heroes who died in the struggle to form the People's Republic of China. Here they place flowers in memory to those who gave their lives to allow the formation of The People's Republic of China. They wear school uniforms and line up for speeches about the Chinese heroes of the past. In China white is the color of death. The flowers each student places are white. We placed flowers also. It was a very solemn moment full of much meaning.
