1. Entrance to the Banpo Village Site Hall

The approximately 4,500 square meters (about 1 acre) exhibit area of Banpo Museum is divided into two Exhibition Halls and a Site Hall. Some of the travel books, notable the "lonely Planet" greatly disparage the Banpo Village and worthless and shoddy. We found the exact opposite. It was true in 1984 when we were there it was poorly displayed but now is much different. It is very well done and presented with lots of good English signs and several video presentations explaining the site. We heartily recommend this site as worthwhile.
