Banpo Neolithic Village Xi'an - 2008 19. Spinning and Weaving Textile designs at the bottom of some pottery wares, spinning wheels and bone shuttles unearthed at the site show that Banpomen could weave. The materials might be rattan, hemp and animal fur. Cloth and animal skin were used for making clothes with bone needles. Banpomen also wove mats and baskets with reeds, bamboo and branches of trees.
