22. Ancient Weapons

This four-wheel cart was installed with a oblique ladder and a high ladder. The pivot was used to connect these two ladders. The upper ends of the high ladder were fixed with hooks to hold the battlements of the city wall. When attacking the city, the high ladder would be raised by a winch. After its hooks held the battlement, soldiers would climb up to enter the city.
