12. Kentucky Fried Chicken

The Colonel stands tall, alive and well in Zhengzhou. We have always enjoyed the fried chicken here and it tastes like home. Prices are lower than in the states. Some of our students worked here part time. In 1994 they got 25 cents US an hour working here. The apple turnovers taste as good as the chicken. This place has been packed ever since it opened. There are several of KFC stands at various places in the city. It has become a big favorite with the Chinese.
