6. Fresh Peaches Direct from the Farmers

Here a local farmer has brought into the city some peaches for sale. The farmer has brought them in a handcart pulled by hand. Lining the cart with leaves he tries to keep the fruit from being damaged. They sold for 1.5 Yuan for a half-kilo (19 cents US for 1.1 pounds). They were delicious. Many carts and small trucks line the streets in shady locations selling fruits and vegetables.
