Shades of Blue in Hex for Web Pages

The images of the grades below show how the shade changes as the BLUE color is increased by 8 units for each progression of the grade. Both RED and GREEN have zero units for that color for each progression. Number 30 then has the maximum FF (255) of BLUE and no RED or GREEN color units. In hexadecimal FF is the highest number 255 used for colors in Web Hex numbers.

The first two numbers are the units in the base 16 (hexadecimal) of the color RED. The next two numbers are the units in the base 16 (hexadecimal) of the color GREEN. The last two numbers are the units in the base 16 (hexadecimal) of the color BLUE.

Beginning at number 31 we show how you lighten the color BLUE. You do this by progressively adding equal amounts of RED and GREEN. We added 23 units of both RED and GREEN additionally at each step. As we got close the maximum FF (255) the color is very close to white.
