Robert Kelso - HHD, 41st Signal Battalion
Served 1962 to October 1964
My name is Robert Kelso and I thought I'd let you know I also served
with the 581st Signal Company. If I remember correctly, I was assigned
to 581st Sig Co in late 1962 until about Oct 1964. While I was there I
think the 581st Sig Co changed to the 5761st Signal Company. I remember
wearing the patch with the skull on the left pocket of our work uniform.
During the dates mentioned above, I was assigned to C Btry 4th of the
44th which was located on the West coast passing Sosan city and on pass
Taejon to a small village named Sacs-o-nee. Remember working with the
TRC-24/Tcc-7/Tcc-20. Not the best equipment, but it supported everyone
at C Btry.
I have been trying to find any material reference C Btry 4/44 but
cannot seem to find anything?
I may have sent e-mails to you a long time ago, I think I remember
your name. Have a great day.
As a note: I'm still here working in Seoul for 41st Signal
Battalion/1st Signal Brigade. It has changed a lot from the days back in
the 60's. It's real nice over here and I also liked Korea very much back
in 1962 time frame.
