North Korea is very cold place in the winter. Temperatures often fall in the 30-40 below zero (F) with wind chills falling to minus 126 (F). One thing that I wonder about now and it seemed so natural then. Almost never did anyone give orders, yet things got done. Everyone worked long hours to accomplish the things that needed to be done. I remember being tired al lot of the time and I slept well. Everyone seemed to gravitate to the things that they could do well. Rank didn't seem to matter except for the officers. They did their thing but mostly left us alone as long as the station kept on the air. I enjoyed the construction and seemed to do a lot of it. I have always been good at construction things.
