This is Joe LaPera resting in the sun after one heck of a storm that took our squad tent down in the middle of the night. Everything we owned was soaked. For weeks this had been the hottest and driest place on earth, but that all ended with the arrival of the rainy season. Along with the heavy rain came the high winds which did the most damage. The next day the sun and heat were not all that bad as it gave us the opportunity to dry out and recover.
