This view is from the "base camp" village. I don't think the mountain shown is the location of the relay site and I believe it was on a mountain in the opposite direction. Since the village had guard towers, I originally thought this stockade type fence was for protection, but now think it was most likely for animal control. Guerrillas and bandits were a problem in this area and the Korean army was operating here to clean them out
