This is "Butch"....He was one of the best house-boys ever. They did many of the routine house keeping chores that GI's hated to do. In return they received money, food, shelter and clothing. Most spoke English which was also very helpful. Many were orphaned and homeless with no place else to go. All soldiers that i knew showed a genuine compassion for these young kids.
