6. I Visit Salem Relay Site

For anyone who thinks everything was perfectly peaceful out there. Uh Huh sure!

In April or May of '57 there was an incident on Salem. The night shift operator's morning replacement hadn't shown up and nobody answered the land line in the bunkhouse. After securing permission to leave the operations shack, he went down to find five GI's, three KUTUSA's and two dogs garroted.
