Company G, 3rd Battalion, 7th Marines
26. Chinese POWs Reports have been coming in that the Fourth Field Army have sent in the 38th, 39th, 40th, and 41st Armies into Korea. Major General Charles Willoughby, General MacArthur's intelligence officer, insisted their were no sizable Chinese forces in Korea. General Willoughby stated, "There has been no reliable intelligence of any movement of Chinese troops toward the border." Shown here are some of the Chinese forces captured by the Marines. UN headquarters seemed to the very last to deny China had entered the war in Korea in force. ⇦ Back to Page 25 On to Page 27 ⇨Return to Sgt Smith - Page 4 |
