47. Marine Depart Yudam-ni

Marines depart Yudam-ni on 1 December. The general plan for the breakout was that the 5th Marines would follow the axis of the MSR and the 7th would move overland. Major General Smith did not formally designate an overall commander, but Lt Col Murray deferred to Col Litzenberg because of seniority.
