We Leave North Korea

The infamous Cook brothers who were known over for their pancakes told a story about the returning team emptying a one-hundred-man ration pan of their fare. Now that's hungry! In defense of the cooks they didn't have a lot to work with: powdered eggs flour, Dinty Moore's Corned Beef hash or Beef stew and powdered milk. Now that's a treat lumpy semi warm powdered milk, but you know what if you are a milk freak like me it starts to taste good after a while. Our team drew the proverbial short straw and we stayed behind and were the last ones to Leave Hungnam. We transmitted to a ship at sea that was operated by a team with Lt. Guyot, an ex Philippine scout. Other members may have been Ray Alexander from the Atlanta area and the big Indian Sgt. Colflesh. In the nineties, met Ray at TJs house and he told me that MacArthur was on board and Lt. Guyot announced that he was going to talk to MacArthur.
