Scissor-tailed Flycatcher

Like many birds of flat, open country, the Scissor-tailed Flycatcher, state bird of Oklahoma, gives its courtship display in flight. The male, which has the longer tail, does a series of vertical zigzags as it rapidly opens and shuts the tail, and at the same time gives a series of twittering notes.
