Sterna paradisaea - Common pelagic migrant from April to June (especially May) and from mid-July to mid-November); rare coastal migrant; vagrant inland. Voice is commonly a harsh, high-pitched, down-slurred kee kahr; most calls are harsh and buzzy; attack call is a dry, nasal raaaaz; also utters single short kip notes.
