Gadwall Anas strepera - Uncommon. Seen most often with Common Pintail and wigeons, it rarely congregates in large flocks. Unlike other surface-feeding ducks, the Gadwell dives regularly. Note the male's plain head, dark bill, gray body, and dark tail coverts. Call, very low and reedy. |
