Marbled Godwit Limosa fedoa Rather common in West, rare in East. Breeds on prairies, meadows, and pastures, and winters along coasts. The brown plumage is mottled above and in breeding plumage is barred below. The very long bill is turned up. Call is a whistling godwit. |
