Blue-winged Teal Anas crecca - A small, common, shy duck of ponds, marshes, and protected bays. Flies rapidly in small, tight flocks. Both sexes have a light blue area in the forward edge of the wing, and a green speculum. Male has a white facial crescent. Male peeps, female quacks softly. |
