Bernice Puts Away Our Canning

After we have finished canning some of our fruits and vegetables, we take them down to the lower floor to store. This section of the house remains quite cold due to the fact that this section of the house in underground at this end of the house. The shelving came from a drug store in Pleasant Hill that went out of business and we bought the shelving for our home. Canned foods are best stored in a cool dark location. Heat and light are the enemies of home canned foods.
