Canning Blackberry Jam
Heat the Jars Paul puts the jars we will use inverted in a shallow pan with an inch of water. He will turn on the heat in a moderate temperature so the water will gently boil. This sterilizes and heats the jars. You should not put hot jam in a cold jar. We put out more jars than we expect. We will put our jam in pints and we add one half pint in case we have some at the end but not enough for a full pint. You may have to tip the jars from time to time in case the water is all drawn up into the jars. ⇦ Back to - Step 10 On to - Step 12 ⇨Return to Blackberry Jam - Page 2 |
