This day we canned 7 quarts of pears. A 20 pound box of pears will produce about 10 quarts of canned pears.

Before we start a project we assemble the ingredients. We also check to see we have enough of each item for the project. Make sure each package had enough for what you are cooking. Sometimes the sugar is too empty. Make sure you have enough lids and rings. Pears are best canned in wide-mouth jars.
