Using the jar lifter to avoid being burned, lift each jar and set them on the a thick towel to cool. When the pressure canner is empty, turn on the heat, fill the canner and start the next batch of jars. If you have less than nine at the end, no problem put in what you have. Our canner will process 7 quarts of 9 pints at a time.
