Step 6, Blanch the Green Beans

Bernice checks the beans being blanched. You should cover the beans with water and bring it to a boil. We use a wooden spoon to bring beans from the bottom to the top. You only need to boil them 5 minutes stirring the pot a few times when it boils. Our 16 quart pots will hold 10 pounds of cut beans.
