Canning Prunes

Wash Prunes - 1

We had picked about a 100 pounds of prunes. The first thing we did was to sort them into three groups. First ripe, second close to ripe and third somewhat green. Here we begin to work on the ripe prunes washing them. Bernice fills the sink with slightly warm water and puts some prunes in the water. As she washes them they go into the pan on her left.
