Chinese Tea Cups

Our tea cup has three pieces. It has a saucer, the cup and a lid. Our set has cups for eight people. We put some green tea or perhaps jasmine tea in the cup, pour in boiling hot water and retire to the table to enjoy tea with our friends. You hold the cup, saucer and lid with both hands, sliding the lids just the tea with the lid just slightly askance to drink. In most parts of China we lived you drank the tea before dinner and not at dinner.
