Chinese Tea Set from Xiamen

This tea service came from Xiamen, Fujian in China. It would be used for a tea ceremony for guests. These would be where you wish to serve tea perhaps outside of a dinner occasion. You place hot water in one pitcher. The hot water then gets poured into the individual cups to warm them. The water then is poured into the slotted area of the service tray. Tea is placed into the cups and then hot water is poured into the warm cups. Much ceremony accompanies all of the service. It can be lots of fun for both you and your guests.
