Blend the Ingredients

It is time to begin to blend the ingredients. We used a big fork but a spoon might have done as well. Keep digging up from the bottom and the sides. Remember this is not a speed contest. Take your time and have some fun. Some music on the radio helps. We were listening to some Mozart. Before you know it it's all mixed up. Some small lumps of shortening don't matter at this time. Some of the happiest time in my childhood were making cookies with my Mom. In the picture it isn't all mixed up yet. Some more mixing to go.
