Making Gingerbread Men
Measure out Soft Shortening Paul's Mom taught this to him some 70 years ago. You need 1/3 cup of shortening, so put in 1 and 2/3 cups of cold water in the 2 cup measuring cup and add shortening until the water level get to the 2 cup level. Then pour off the water and put the shortening in the mixing bowl.
