Crank the Sifter

We now crank up the sifter to measure out our 2 1/2 cups of flour. We intentionally did not put all our flour into the sifter so the salt and soda gets well mixed in the flour. Next she will add more flour to get the desired measure of flour. You sift flour in order to get a accurate measurement and also to breakup any lumps or discover any foreign matter.
