Add the Oatmeal to the Batter

Bernice adds the oatmeal to the batter mixture and turns on the mixer on low speed. Again you must start out slow and assist the bowl turning as you also scrape the sides and bottom. When it is mixed well lift the mixer blades and clean off the blades. We now will add the chopped nuts and mix them into the batter by hand.
