Making Pecan Pie Bars 23. Set to Cool Here we have completed the baking. We put the pan on a wire rack to cool. After it has cooled completely we ran a kitchen knife around the edges. Inverting the pan over a flat surface and lightly tapping the bottom freed it. We perhaps baked ours a little too long.
