Making Butterscotch Swirl Biscuits 17. Begin Patching We need to cut fairly evenly lengths of dough for our swirls. So we trimmed some of the ragged edges of the rolled out dough using a kitchen knife. We used the trimmed edges to patch the uneven sides to be square. Here Bernice dips a patch in cold water to get it wet to be used as a patch.
