12. Mend Crust

Using a sharp knife, trim off any crust extending too far. Put the trimmed pieces on a saucer for use next. Bernice dips the pieces in cold water and patches any short comings in the crust sides. Your pie and our pie may not win any prizes at the county fair. But I guarantee you will win first prize with your family at the dinner table. And each time you make another pie you will get better.
