Put Oil in Frying Pan We use canola oil for several reasons. First, it has no trans fat. Second, it is low in saturated fat. Third, it has no cholesterol. Fourth, it does not smoke at high temperatures. By all means use your favorite oil. The bowl of chopped onions sits nearby. Then they can be added at the right moment.
