Processing Honey

1. Uncap Combs

After we have removed the honey combs and bushed off the bees we put them in a sealed box to keep the bees from rejoining the honey combs. We then use our electric knife to uncap the combs. Uncap each side. Going slow enough so the knife does not cool too much, we use the shown arrangement to allow the caps to fall into the pan below. Tilting the frame slightly will assist is this effort.
